As an Architect and Designer, I gained exposure to large scale commercial, residential and interior projects under the both design and execution (technical) team. It helped me learn how to systemically take a project from concept, material selection to technical drawings.
DESCRIPTION
I approached this experience with the goal of understanding the execution and technical complexities of large-scale building projects, as well as the dynamics between design and construction teams in a corporate setting. Working directly under a civil engineer enabled close engagement with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire services, and provided insight into how these systems are coordinated within an established design intent. Simultaneously, collaborating with the design team sharpened my ability to develop rapid, client-ready design responses, highlighting the importance of speed, clarity, and adaptability in professional practice.
EXTRAS
Beyond office-based work, I regularly visited project sites to align design intent with on-ground execution, adapting to the specific needs of each project phase. I was also involved in material and finishes selection across multiple projects, evaluating options based on performance, cost, and aesthetic coherence within the overall design strategy.
